Footing Inspection Passed

…praise the Lord!

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country (or from the construction site).
-Proverbs 25:25

Our soils engineer inspected our footings today. The soil had to be a certain hardness on the footings so it would be strong enough for the concrete and foundation. Rathana said that he thought it might be difficult to pass because of rain saturating the footings. If it didn’t pass, it could throw us off days and possibly weeks, and would cost $500 each time the engineer came out. We were praying that it would pass while CLAIM men were here so that we could keep our project moving, and PRAISE THE LORD, IT PASSED TODAY! Let’s spread the goods news!

More Money Saving

We were able to cut our stucco cost by nearly 50% saving our church family almost $20,000. Praise God for his continued blessing on our building campaign. Please pray for God’s wisdom and favor upon our construction team. Also, please be in prayer for this year’s building campaign and May 13th building banquet.

Two Drawings Approved

Our building planning is moving forward! The city has already approved 2 of our drawings. We are now re-working the mechanical drawings to save our church much money. We have been extensively researching for new ways to save money on materials, and we were able to find ways to cut costs in about 20 different parts of the building so far.

Praise God for his provision and goodness!

Week in View Mini-Update: Electrical

Shane Manley has been working and shopping for different pieces of electrical equipment for months now.  He has made numerous calls and e-mails to different suppliers.  His diligent work has finally paid off. Shane was able to get our equipment for about $14,000, which is about $6,000 cheaper than the closest competitor. Praise God for great team members and for showing His hand each step of the way!

Please continue to be in constant, fervent prayer for our building!
