Banquet Kickoff

Banquet Leaders
Thank God for willing Leaders!

We had a great kickoff to our 2011 Building Banquet Campaign. We are thankful for the great turnout of faithful leaders. The afternoon was a jump start to what will be a great year. We were blessed to learn from financial advisors who gave us some very practical and useful information. They gave us insight of how our money works and the potential of our investments. We have all heard some sort of financial advice, but to get it from a Biblical prospective was very eye opening.

Now we have two ways we can help (give sacrificially and invest in our church’s bond program) to get our NEW building up quicker! Such a great buzz was created from the meeting. The buzz will only continue to grow as we understand more and as word gets out on how we ordinary Christians can do extraordinary things in God’s name if we commit ourselves to Him and allow Him to work through us.

First Update of the Year

  • We had a great week on the job site!
  • Our volunteer men are still able to use the CAT loader for free—this week we saved $400 day in rental fees!
  • A man by the name of Tony from System Maintenance in Signal Hill is assisting us in the process to save by allowing us to continue using the loader free of charge.
  • We give a great BIG THANK YOU to our drivers who volunteered last week.
  • The site is coming together as “Mount Zion” is diminishing.
  • Please continue to pray for continued progress as “severe weather” continues to persist.

The main sewer project is moving right along!

  • All the pipe has been laid, and the manholes should be set this week.
  • We received our material and have almost completed the trench. When the trench is finished, we will be able to start dropping the pipe.

Our power pole reroute is almost complete.

  • Edison also came out and installed the new pole and transformer that will feed our property.
  • The meters have been installed and the power is hot.
  • We will do the cutover very soon and the existing pole will be removed thereafter.
