On Friday, March 23, 2012, we poured the concrete in our footings. Here is a time-lapse of the pour.

With all the attention on April, we just wanted to show you what it was like when we first moved into the building.

We had an awesome time at the construction site on Sunday night! I thank everyone who came. I am especially grateful for those who put much time into making that night a special one for our church. A big thanks to Bro. Lazo and his crew for preparing the site, Jesus and his crew for the delicious tacos, and Mrs. Lupe and her crew for making the rice and beans. It was great! It was the first time in many months that I was able to stay outside after church and fellowship—the best Sunday I have had in months spending time with our church family.

I wanted to thank our church for being involved and signing up for the prayer chain. We began the prayer chain yesterday (2 days ago), but if you have forgotten what slot you signed up for, please call the church office at (562) 424-7714. Also, as you pray for our building and the exciting vision God has shown Pacific Baptist Church, don’t forget those in our church who are hurting. In a time of great spiritual blessing, there are still wounded soldiers of the cross who need our encouragement.

Let us TOGETHER (as has been our underlying theme for each of our banquets) praise the Lord for His goodness, seek Him for His favor and guiding hand for our church family especially around this vital time in our building campaign.
